Amnesty Day
Items must be placed by the curb before 7:00 AM on May 6th
New this year, homes that do not meet requirements will receive a notice on their front door stating why items were not collected. Please recycle all items that can be recycled.
ALLOWED:
- Broken glass placed in a plastic bucket or other suitable container
- Windows and doors with broken glass will not be collected
- Small items placed in trash cans or plastic bags. Mark trash cans with an “X” if they are to be discarded. 40lb weight limit
- Large items such as furniture, mattresses, doors, beds, tires, chairs, toilets, etc.
- Please cut railroad ties, plastic, lumber, carpet and drywall in 4′ or less lengths and tie in bundles
- Remove nails and screws from lumber, trim, drywall, etc.
- Metal
- Appliances need to be placed curbside separate from other items as they will be collected by a different crew. Refrigerators and freezers must be cleaned out prior to pick-up
NOT ALLOWED:
- Waste oil & solvents
- Batteries
- Deposit beverage containers
- Pressurized tanks
- Cans with undried paint
- Cardboard
- Florescent bulbs
- Demolition project debris
- TV’s, Computer monitors & other electronics
