Yes, Hiawatha Police offer our residents the opportunity to register with us when they will be away from home for an extended length of time. Just come to the police station and fill out a house check form. One is also available for download in our forms section.

You can come to the police department between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday-Friday to request a copy of a report; or you can request a report by mail, 101 Emmons St, Hiawatha, IA 52233. There is a $5 fee for each report requested.

We offer fingerprinting Monday through Friday during normal business hours. The cost is $10 for up to 2 cards and $5 each card after. Fingerprint cards must be provided by the person being fingerprinted.

We will place ads in the Cedar Rapids Gazette when we are hiring and list jobs on our website under employment opportunities. You can also call Hiawatha City Hall to inquire if they are accepting applications at 319-393-1515.
