10th Avenue from Eisenhower Road to Emmons Street and Eisenhower Rd from 10th Avenue west 200 feet will be closed for utility work and street improvements.
HIAWATHA, IA – July 27, 2022 – Starting Tuesday, August 2, 2022, 10th Avenue will be closed from Eisenhower Road to Emmons Street. In addition, Eisenhower Road will be closed from 10th Avenue west 200’ in front of the Fire Station. All traffic will detour on 9th Avenue and Eisenhower Road east of 10th Ave. This road closure will allow for new storm sewer installation and reconstruction of the pavement in front of the Fire Station. Access to the Buena Vista Apartments located at 961 and 981 Emmons Street will be maintained from 10th Ave.
Thru traffic should expect delays. Please try to avoid the areas during construction. All work is anticipated to last through the month of August.
