1st Ave from Blairs Ferry Road to Willman Ave to be restricted in width and will have limited full closures.
HIAWATHA, IA – July 3 – Starting Monday, July 8, 2024, traffic may be reduced to one lane during daytime operations while the contractor replaces curb and gutter sections, ADA ramps, street patching and milling operations. The contractor will be removing curb and gutter on the east side of the roadway starting July 8. Work will then shift to the west curb line. There will be times that the roadway will be closed in its entirety for asphalt overlay work. During asphalt placement, homeowners will be required to move vehicles to the side streets or to Zion Lutheran Church. The general contractor will be updating residents on work being completed.
Thru traffic should expect delays. Please try to avoid the areas during construction. All work is anticipated to be completed by August 2, pending no delays.
