HIAWATHA, IA – June 28, 2024 – Starting Wednesday, July 3, 2024, traffic in the east and west directions of Boyson Road will begin using the newly constructed roundabout in their respective directions. Exiting or entering onto 12th Avenue will be restricted until site restoration is completed. Thru traffic should expect delays while the contractor completes work on the center median and roundabout. Flaggers will be used as needed while work on the median is being completed.
All vehicular traffic heading north and south on 12th Avenue shall continue to use the detour signage that will direct traffic to Litchfield Dr and 15th Avenue. Access to Mercy Hospital and Wolf Eye Clinic will be maintained from 12th Avenue and the temporary entrance on Boyson Road.
This phase is expected to last up to four weeks, weather pending. All work for this project is anticipated to last through the month of August.
