Hiawatha Fire Department and Hiawatha Water Department kindly remind you to KEEP THEM CLEAR this winter
If there is a fire hydrant near your home, do your part to keep it accessible this winter:
- Remove snow and ice
- Clear a wide enough perimeter around the hydrant for water staff and firefighters to work (about 3 feet)
- Clear a path from the hydrant to the street
