Hiawatha awarded a contract to Rathje Construction Inc. from Marion to reconstruct the existing intersection of North Center Point Road/Emmons Street/Robins Road. This project will move the intersection approximately 100 feet to the northwest. Rathje will reconstruct approximately 400 feet of North Center Point Road to the south of Fisher Street.
Temporary pavement repairs have been completed in order to open all streets to traffic this fall. The project will continue starting spring of 2017 and will be completed in the fall of 2017. Contact the Engineering Department at cityengineer@hiawatha-iowa.com with any questions.
The project is funded with Capital Projects Funds, LOSST funds and Water Revenue Funds. Project completion date is November 2017.
